Jason Wimbury

I've spent the last twenty years inside the hiring functions of organisations that build things at extraordinary scale — Aramco's elite SETA executive search division, Maersk's $10 billion Qatar expansion, Omantel's national 3.0 transformation, McDermott's Mozambique LNG programme.

That work taught me one thing: the firms that win these mandates aren't generalist agencies and they aren't traditional RPOs. They're specialists who understand the technology, the geography, the governance — and can deliver under pressure.

Victoria Ríos Vallejo

Victoria brings deep geoscience expertise to Wimbury Hargreaves, leading business development across our oil & gas and mining practice. A qualified geologist with a Master's in Environmental Sciences, she has spent over fifteen years across the full arc of the resources sector — from seismic exploration in the field to winning major technical contracts in the boardroom.

Her career spans geophysical oil and gas exploration with Geokinetics across Latin America — Trinidad & Tobago, Bolivia, Suriname, Mexico, Peru, and Colombia — through to her role as Technical Sales and Proposal Coordinator at Saudi Geophysical in Al Khobar, where she led proposal development and won projects with clients including Aramco, Ma'aden, and major international construction consortiums.

That combination — hands-on subsurface and geological experience paired with senior commercial and client-facing work — is exactly what makes Victoria effective at the top of geoscience recruitment. She understands the roles because she has done the work: sedimentology, geological mapping, environmental impact assessment, seismic data quality control, and field operations. When she speaks to a hiring manager about a geologist, geophysicist, or technical lead, she speaks their language.

Based in Bogotá, Colombia, Victoria strengthens our reach across Latin America and the Middle East, and anchors our specialist capability in geology and geoscience for the energy and mining sectors.
